Today I want to introduce you to Kevin Miller.
Kevin is the Vice-President of The Ohio Floor Company. He has been working for The Ohio Floor Company for 38 years. Kevin has been happily married to Beninda for 30 years. They are the proud parents of 3 grown children.
When asked how he likes to spend his time when not at the office, Kevin said, “I enjoy spending time working on my farm. It’s not really 'work' to me, but simply a hobby. It’s time I can relax and gather my thoughts. The farm is where some of my best business ideas have come from.”
An interesting fact you may not know about Kevin is when he was single, he did some missionary work in the Philippines. This is where he met and later married his wife, “my best friend,” Kevin says.
When asked what Kevin enjoys most about his job, “The relationships that I have developed and that have been built throughout the years,” he says. “Seeing and being part of the growth that the company has gone through, not just in the number of employees but more so the high level of work we have been able to do,” he adds.
What is your favorite job completed by The Ohio Floor Company? Kevin replied, “There are so many, but some that really stand out to me are the Cracker Barrel Stores we work on throughout the United States, the home job in Miami, Florida, and all the NCAA Final Four floors.”
To finish up our conversation with Kevin he was asked the following two questions. What is one of your favorite quotes and if you could have dinner with anyone in the world, living or dead, who would it be and why?
Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good, to those who love God and are called according to his purpose,” is the quote Kevin would like to share with you. As far as who he would like to eat a meal with, Kevin said, “Don Knotts, he is still one of the best, naturally funny actors I have ever seen. I have always said it would be a lot of fun to sit down with someone like him and see how he really is, see what his personality is in real life. I feel he and I could really connect well.”
